How to play
What is Hitori?
Hitori is a Japanese logic puzzle played on a grid of numbers. The goal is to shade cells so that no row or column contains duplicate numbers, no two shaded cells share an edge, and all unshaded cells remain connected.
How do you play Hitori?
Click or tap a cell to shade or unshade it. The three rules are: 1) No duplicate numbers in any row or column among unshaded cells, 2) No two shaded cells share an edge, 3) All unshaded cells must form one connected group.
Is Hitori difficult?
Hitori ranges from easy (5x5 grids) to expert (8x8 grids). Start with the smaller grids and use hints if needed. The key is logical deduction — no guessing required.
Can Hitori have multiple solutions?
A well-designed Hitori puzzle has exactly one unique solution. All puzzles in this game are hand-crafted and solver-verified to have a single solution.
